After VMK, more than 100 of us moved to Gaia. After that, many of us played SmallWorlds. Then there was Secret Builders, and Our World. We've also tried Elf Island, VFK, and MVK. Then there was Roblox, Pixie Hollow, Club Penguin, Dizzywood, Free Realms... the list still goes on. Are any of you playing anything now, and how does it compare to VMK?

I remember being active on both Our World and Smallworlds..as well as VFK, Secret Builders and Free Realms. They're all pretty fun games but really...none can compare!

I played most of those, as well! SW was fine, for a while, but there was no common theme to keep my interest. A love of all things Disney kept us coming back daily to VMK and sadly, that was lacking in all of the other worlds/games. Most of those online worlds are gone now...

Mimi, I felt the same way about SW. Disney really missed the mark on this one. I still dream about it one day opening up again. Isn't that crazzzy?

Played SW, too many loading/freezing issues so I gave up. Played Elf Island, liked it and then that closed. Supposed to be coming back, but still not the same as VMK. I would love if VMK came back. Can you imagine all the new stuff they could have done? Every time a new movie comes out I think of what could have been....

Played VFK and SW. Eventually, even with different tasks to enhance SW, still ended up leaving it. Still playing VFK with a small contingent of VMK players. If you recall, they were the only thing that opened the day after VMK closed. This coming Wednesday will be VFK's 5th anniversary. While they have come a very long way from only being able to stand, walk and all wear the same clothes, it still is no replacement.
I now pay to play VFK to get the "goodies" of membership, and I would have paid to play VMK. Disney, you lost a most excellent source of income... you don't realize the vast majority of players were adults that would gladly have paid to play.

Not long after VMK closed, I did try several of the games that tried to become our new home. Sadly none of them captured my interest. I never felt the need to rush home after work to log on for all hours of the night, I never felt that pull on my heart when I was celebrating various occasions with my real world friends and family instead of in VMK with my friends there.
Perhaps it's for the better, but If Disney did bring back VMK, I'm sure I'd be right there playing as if nothing ever happened!

I know, Melp. I'm sure I have managed to get so many more things done since VMK closed (heh), but I would definitely pay to play if it were to miraculously open again.

Guess I've played all of those and even more..looking for a happy home. Right now I've settled into MVK. Friendly and fun.

I also tried most of the games mentioned, but none stuck with me. I actually visited our VMK neighborhood in Gaia earlier this year. That brought back some nice memories. I played VFK for a 2-3 years after but it just doesn't quite hold my attention. I am grateful that it did open the day after VMK closed. It helped buffer that emptiness some. If more people would have stayed/given it a chance I'm pretty sure it would have been much more fun. Currently I play Wizard101 and Pirate101 (both KingsIsle games). I started just after VMK closed, 5 years now. I love them both, and they have a very active, nice community. I hope that someday P101 will come out with a Pirates of the Caribbean type of game...oh how I miss that mini-game!
